Reigler’s new Emmegi CNC Centre
Since its creation in 1994 as a family-led fabricator, Reigler Aluminium has lived by two key principles to win in the Retail market. High quality products and matching levels of customer care are the essentials of long term success for the business. Consistently delivering them to clients is enabled by a strong, loyal relationship with a sole supplier and the Beaufort range is the basis for our entire product portfolio.
Reigler’s history was not all plain sailing and the loss of founder entrepreneur Bill Reigler, after a heart attack in 1999, saw the low point for the family and a period of adjustment for the company. Bill’s sons Jon and Kevin carried on the manufacturing business and served their loyal customers but without new business growth initiatives, the future was increasingly uncertain.
However adversity became opportunity when the brothers were approached by Steve Milham, MD of Whiteline – the largest fabricator in South East England – who had sourced Reigler products for a retail business since its inception. Steve could see the potential opportunity of a partnership approach.
Ironically Whiteline was originally established as an aluminium fabricator in 1984, but had then concentrated on meeting the market for the increasingly popular PVCu profile. Recently, as consumers demanded more distinctive, higher value, environmentally friendly windows and doors, aluminium is resurgent, so the combined range offers product variety with consistently high quality and customer service delivery. The Whiteline customer base gives Reigler the new business it craved and the joint offering to new customers helps the two businesses develop sales together.
In 2010 Reigler moved into Whiteline’s Eastbourne factory to be fully integrated into a shared facility with common systems and a positive future. A six figure investment programme has driven the restructured business, with new saws, hydraulic crimping tables and sophisticated CNC machines installed. Aluminium is once again a key offering for the retail customers that Whiteline and Reigler service. Business has trebled in the three years of partnership and the manufacturing workforce has now doubled. These upward trends are set to continue as new retail customers discover quality Reigler products plus great Whiteline customer care.
